I'm not sure your comedy is getting through, but I guess a Poe is a Poe, and you've done a good job at it.
ReplyDeleteReally, some funny satirical stuff though, it cracked me up. Keep up the good work, but I actually wonder if there really are people who think the Earth is at the center of the universe?
I think there are still people who think the Earth is flat, too, so I wouldn't doubt that people could actually believe the Sun revolves around Earth, although with all the science available, not to mention just watching the seasons change, the sun coming up everyday, you would think that would be enough.People there are still people who think the Earth is 6000 yrs old, so you never know what people will believe.
But funny stuff nonetheless. But you should really have a disclaimer somewhere on the site because there are people who may think you are actually serious.
The above comment by Pete-o which borders on the nonsensical speaks for itself. Sad to say, it is rather typical and mundane as regards many of the critiques leveled against geocentrism and those who believe in it. These kinds of remarks generally exhibit a certain sarcasm (often including an express or implied ad hominem attack) held up behind a thin veil of supposed humor.
ReplyDeleteThese ridiculing commentators are careful never to really engage in an actual examination of the purported evidence upholding the heliocentric paradigm. No wonder -- it is a paradigm they have been taught since they were knee high to a grasshopper to accept as a simple matter of fact. Consequently, it is a view of the cosmos which most people have readily come to accept with what often amounts to a sort of blind faith, one never to be seriously questioned.
A good number of those who have had the courage of their convictions or simply bravado to openly challenge the geocentric model have been answered and refuted on this blogsite. Others, no doubt, are welcome to do the same. In this regard it can be seen how this site apparently does not censor out views (nor even gratuitous ridicule such as that of Pete-o) which call into question the truth of geocentrism. This is certainly to the credit of Dr. Robert Sungenis, especially in light of the fact that it can readily be seen how so much of the mainstream media and even the alternative media, not to mention the scientific establishment as a whole, does not reciprocate. Rather, they strictly censor out any attempts to engage it in an honest discussion of geocentrism. This in itself stands as a strong indictment against the modern scientific establishment and our supposed free press.
